2015/10/22 Birthday Card

Final result:

Details:

Also can be vertical, but then you need to stick the pendant accordingly.

Thick color paper, Pastel paper, thread, decorative pendant, two side tape, ruler, knife.

Manly card for manly man. :)

Theme - geometrical pattern. Look it up for more ideas.
Also, i decided against making a "Happy Birthday!" inscription, even on a separate paper to glue, or even inside. The thick 2 sided tape gives the volume to card, and i felt that the lettering across is gonna too much.

2015/10/20 Christmas Postcard

Watercolor paper, Watercolors, brushes.

The first of the series, hope to actually finish them before celebration days.
Theme - Christmas Wreath.

And yes, it is the actual postcard - you can place the stamp on the back, write your wishes and send it. :)

2015/9/21 Napkin Card

Craft paper, cartridge color paper, glue, ruler, knife.

The size is enormous! Usually those type of cards are about A5 size. I decided to go full A3 square. :D
All this manly beauty tied with a ribbon, mmhmm. ^_^

And i finally got a good shot of my stamp. Yay :P

2015/9/19 + 2015/9/21 Birthday Card

2015/9/19 : Card Draft

2015/9/21

Present itself:

Craft paper, decorative golden cloth, cartridge yellow paper, yellow thread, knife, glue.

Now, to explain what exactly it is:

The box itself contains a metal key and an online registration code, for the event - "escape the room" real live game show in Moscow.
I myself love those pc games, but didn't know about Claustrophobia before i was asked to make a card to go with this present.
Talk about unforgettable birthday experiences. :D

2015/9/7 Birthday Card

Craft paper, thick paper, ornate scissors, watercolors, decorative cloth, jewel stickers, glue.

2015/9/4 Card Drafts

The base for future cards.

That's my workspace, yes. Narrow table, pretty clattered, with a stack of tea cups, like a true artist. :D

Also featuring the tools i always use - the cutting mat (i have 2 of them, sizes A3 and A4), automatic pencil, eraser (the blue one, VERY comfortable; looks like a pen but with the rubber sliding inside), my trusty paper knife (i think, it is over 5 years old, with new blades of course) and a transparent ruler (i use metal one for a hard cardboard or extra thick papers). With scissors i prefer the manicure ones - they are sharp enough and easy to maneuver. Laptop for references and music, plus that's my only table in the room, no where else to put it. :P

2015/7/23 Signature

At last i made my own stamp/sign. :)

The stamp itself is made from the eraser. In this photo i had to outline the letters, because i used too little of the ink. The green letters are handwritten.

I spent quite some time deciding if i want to use alias or my real name.
In the end i settled on the name only, abbreviation for my name and surname (letters d and p), and a greeting.
Easy way? No, never heard of it. :D

Plus i finally got my hands on some good ink pad. The color is purple, not pink!! >.<

2015/7/17 + 2015/7/23 Wedding Card and Envelope

2015/7/17

2015/7/23

Craft paper, Photo paper, thick color paper, ornament scissors, Craft paper elements, Golden Nail Polish, plastic ring, tweezers, flower decorations, bow sticker, thick white paper, red thread and needle, pen, glue.

P.S. Yes, i know, i made a mistake in the writing, but what do you expect from a sleepy brain in wee hours of morning?

I'm generally pulling an allnighter for a card, so it's no wonder i start to miss little things, after sitting on it for 5-6 hours straight.

And actually, i found this misspell after looking at the photo a day later. Such a shame >.<

2015/6/19 Birthday Cake Box

Thick color paper, decorative papyrus paper, confetti stars, thick white paper, ribbons, pen, rubber glue.

I'd suggest using another way of closing the boxes - the ribbons are hard to tie and untie multiple times.

Also, i use the rubber glue, because it doesn't require to press the pieces together tightly, just firm enough for glue to dry slightly.
